NFL: Chicago 17, San Francisco 9

CHICAGO, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Nathan Vasher returned a missed field goal for an NFL record 108-yard touchdown Sunday to help the Chicago Bears beat San Francisco, 17-9.

Bears quarterback Kyle Orton was 8-of-13 for 67 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Adrian Peterson -- subbing for the injured Cedric Benson -- rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Benson Before had 50 yards on 12 carries before suffering a knee injury in the second quarter.

The Bears (6-3) have won five in a row.

San Francisco quarterback Cody Pickett was a dismal 1-for-13 for 28 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. Frank Gore rushed for 60 yards on 15 attempts and Kevan Barlow added 58 on 24 carries for the 49ers (2-7), who have dropped four straight.

San Francisco has not has scored a touchdown in three straight games.
