
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- The Carolina Panthers made four interceptions Sunday on the way to a 30-3 win over the New York Jets.
Ken Lucas had two of the picks and Will Witherspoon returned one for a touchdown. Chris Gamble also made an interception while quarterback Jake Delhomme, who struggled, was 10-of-20 passing for 119 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Keary Colbert had two catches for 29 yards and one touchdown, and Stephen Davis rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries.
Brooks Bollinger, who had four picks, went 11-of-21 for just 98 yards. Curtis Martin, who ran for 75 yards on 19 attempts, made a scoring reception for the Jets (2-7), who lost their fourth straight contest.
Carolina (7-2), which has scored at least 20 points in each game this season, gained sole possession of first place in the NFC South after Atlanta's loss to Green Bay.
