
FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Jeff Ballard threw for 279 yards and two touchdowns Saturday night as 18th-ranked Texas Christian trounced UNLV, 51-3.
Ballard completed 17-of-31 passes and had one interception. Aaron Brown rushed for 105 yards on 19 attempts and three scores, and Quentily Harmon and Cory Rodgers each caught touchdown passes for TCU (10-1, 8-0 MWC), which finished the regular season with a nine-game winning streak.
With the victory, TCU's Gary Patterson became the first coach in school history to record three 10-win seasons. His Horned Frogs also accomplished the feat in 2002 and 2003.
Jarrod Jackson went 12-of-31 for 152 yards and one interception; Erick Jackson gained only 14 yards rushing but made three catches for 78 yards; and Greg Estandia had five receptions for 49 yards for the Rebels (2-8, 1-6 MWC), who have a four-game losing streak.
