COL FB: Notre Dame 42, Navy 21

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Brady Quinn threw four touchdown passes Saturday as 7th-ranked Notre Dame beat Navy, 42-21.

Quinn was 22-of-31 for 284 yards, the four scores and one interception; Maurice Stovall made eight receptions for 130 yards and two touchdowns; running back Darius Walker rushed for 118 yards and one touchdown on 19 attempts; and 260-pound tight end Anthony Fasano added four catches for 70 yards and score.

The Fighting Irish (7-2), who have won three in a row since their loss to top-ranked Southern California, have built an NCAA record 42-game winning streak against the Midshipmen and have won 12 in a row against the service academies.

Lamar Owens, who rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown on 25 attempts, went just 3-of-7 passing for 58 yards; Adam Ballard had 45 rushing yards and a score on nine attempts; and Tyree Barnes added a scoring catch for Navy (5-4).
