HOUSTON, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Jon Barry scored 24 points as the Houston Rockets began their 2005-06 season with a 98-89 victory over the Sacramento Kings at the Toyota Center.
Barry hit 8-of-10 shots from the floor and added three steals in 26 minutes. Tracy McGrady contributed 23 points to the winning effort and Yao Ming had 22 along with 10 rebounds. Yao reached double-figure points for the 44th consecutive game.
For the Kings, Bonzi Wells racked up 22 points and a career-best 18 rebounds while Brad Miller netted 21 points.
