CHICAGO, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Chris Duhon had a triple-double with 18 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds Wednesday night as Chicago beat Charlotte, in overtime, 109-105.
In regulation, the Bulls overcame a 25-point deficit to record a win in the season opener for both teams. Chicago (1-0) lost shooting guard Kirk Hinrich, who suffered a sprained left ankle with 2:48 left in the third quarter, with the Bulls trailing, 83-62.
The Bulls held the Bobcats (0-1) to nine points in the fourth quarter.
Eric Piatkowski, Tyson Chandler, Darius Songaila each scored 11 points and Ben Gordon added 14 points for Chicago, which scored the final nine points of regulation. Chandler also hauled down 11 rebounds.
Gerald Wallace had 28 points and Emeka Okafor added 16 points and 12 rebounds for Charlotte, which led by 70-45 in the third quarter. Melvin Ely had 13 points and 15 rebounds.
