NHL: Minnesota 3, Columbus 1

ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Todd White scored two goals Saturday night as the Minnesota Wild beat the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-1.

Brent Burns also scored for the Wild, who broke a three-game skid. Alexander Daigle added his seventh assist of the year in the win. White has four goals so far this season. Filip Kuba had two assists and goaltender Manny Fernandez made 15 saves for Minnesota (6-4-0).

David Vyborny scored the only goal for the Blue Jackets, who had their modest two-game winning streak broken. Vyborny had to leave the game with a wrist injury.

Martin Prusek suffered his first loss of the season despite making 21 saves as Columbus fell to 4-8-0.

Minnesota out-shot the Blue Jackets, 24-16. Columbus was 1-for-9 on the power play. Minnesota went 1-for-8.
