COL FB: USC 55, Washington State 13

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Matt Leinart threw three touchdown passes Saturday as top-ranked Southern California routed Washington State, 55-13.

Leinart threw for 364 yards -- 302 in the first half -- on 24-of-34 passing and LenDale White added two rushing scores. White had 155 yards on 20 carries, Dwayne Jarrett had 11 catches for 200 yards and one touchdown and Reggie Bush added 95 yards rushing for the Trojans (8-0, 5-0 Pac-10), who have won 30 games in a row. Steve Smith caught three passes, two of them for touchdowns.

The victory was Pete Carroll's 50th with USC. He has only nine losses in his five years at the school.

Alex Brink went only 9-of-17 for 64 yards, while Jason Hill had 49 yards receiving on six catches and Jerome Harrison added 147 yards on 21 attempts for Washington State (3-5, 0-5), which has dropped five straight after winning its first three.
