
AUBURN, Ala., Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Kenny Irons rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown Saturday as 19th-ranked Auburn beat Mississippi, 27-3.
Irons had 32 carries, the longest of which was 17 yards.
Quarterback Brandon Cox completed 17-of-27 passes for 205 yards and one touchdown for the Tigers (6-2, 4-1 SEC), who rebounded from last Saturday's overtime loss at LSU to post their sixth win in the last seven games.
Wide receiver Prechae Rodriguez added three catches for 55 yards, Courtney Taylor had a scoring toss, and Devin Aromashodu had one touchdown reception.
Micheal Spurlock started for the Rebels and went 10-of-18 passing for 105 yards and one interception before being replaced by Ethan Flatt, who was 11-of-17 for 81 yards.
Ole Miss (3-5, 1-4) lost for the second time in its last three games. Mike Espy had nine catches for 63 yards.
Auburn has won 14 of its last 15 SEC games.
