ST. LOUIS, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Forward Keith Tkachuk of the St. Louis Blues will be sidelined 3-5 weeks because of cracked ribs, the team announced Friday.

Various reports have said the reason he was suspended by the team in September is because he reported to training camp 25 pounds overweight.

His best year came during the 1995-96 campaign with Winnipeg when he scored 50 goals and had 48 assists in 76 games. He also scored a career-high 52 goals the following season.

In the 2003-04 season, Tkachuk played in 75 games, recording 33 goals and 38 assists.
