NHL: Columbus 2, Minnesota 1 (SO)

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Trevor Letowski scored a shootout goal Friday night to lift the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Wild.

Adam Foote's goal with 42 seconds left in regulation forced overtime and goalie Martin Prusek made 27 saves for the Blue Jackets (4-7-0).

Pierre Bouchard scored the lone goal for the Wild (5-4-0), who have lost three straight. It was the longest shoot-out of the season, lasting eight rounds, when both teams scored three times.

Minnesota goaltender Dwayne Roloson made 52 stops. Columbus out-shot the Wild by a wide margin, 59-34. Columbus was 0-for-5 on the power play while Minnesota went 0-for-3.
