Rock Hard Ten draws No.1 Classic post

ELMONT, N.Y., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Rock Hard Ten drew the inside post for Saturday's $4.68 million Breeders' Cup Classic -- Powered by Dodge at Belmont Park.

Gary Stevens will be aboard when the 7-2 favorite leaves the gate for the 1 1/4-mile run. Sun King will be in the No. 2 post position, with Choctaw Nation in the No. 3 spot.

"In the Classic, where they start on the turn, you don't want to be too far out, so 3 is just right. Any way he can save ground is better for us," trainer Jeff Mullins said.

Rounding out the field are Oratorio at No. 4, Perfect Drift (5), Sir Shackleton (6), Super Frolic (7), Suave (8), Flower Alley (9), Jack Sullivan (10), Borrego (11), A Bit O'Gold (12), Saint Liam (13) and Starcraft (14).

"He'll just have to run a bit faster now," said Starcraft trainer Luca Cumani, who admitted his horse would have a tough go.
