Lucas Glover wins the FUNAI Classic

ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Lucas Glover won the FUNAI Golf Classic at Walt Disney World Resort Sunday with a closing-round 7-under 65.

It was his first title on the PGA Tour. At 23-under-par 265, Glover finished one stroke ahead of Tom Pernice Jr., who shot a 3-under 69 Sunday.

To earn the title, Glover holed out from a greenside bunker for birdie on the 72nd hole.

Glover also captured one event on the Nationwide Tour. He earned $792,000 Sunday for his first PGA tour win.

Ryan Palmer, the 2004 champion, shot an 8-under 64 Sunday. He shared third place at 21-under 267 with Rich Beem (70), Harrison Frazar (68), Geoff Ogilvy (69) and Justin Rose (68).

The third and final rounds both were completed on Sunday because of weather delays on Saturday.
