Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Michael Robinson passed for 194 yards with four touchdowns Saturday as 14th-ranked Penn State blitzed Illinois, 63-10.
Robinson, who also ran for two scores, was 11-of-18 passing with no interceptions. He added seven rushing attempts for 69 yards, and Deon Butler had four catches for 95 yards with two scores.
Robinson's six-touchdown output tied the school mark held by Harry Robb in 1917 as the Nittany Lions recovered from a last-play loss to Michigan last Saturday to improve to 7-1 (4-1 Big Ten). They led, 56-3, at halftime after scoring on all eight of their first half possessions.
For the Illini (2-5, 0-4 Big Ten), Tim Brasic went 8-of-16 for 49 yards, and Chris Pazan was 10-of-15 for 84 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
Illinois has dropped five in a row after opening the season with two straight wins.
