IRVING, Texas, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle Flozell Adams is expected to miss the remainder of the season because of a torn knee ligament.
Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells said Adams suffered a torn ACL during this past Sunday's game against the New York Giants.
"Flozell was playing pretty good," Parcells was quoted as saying on the team's Web site Monday. "A little up and down. But that's a tough position to play."
Adams, in his eighth year out of Michigan State, has been a Pro Bowl performer last two seasons.
Cowboys wide receiver Patrick Crayton suffered an ankle injury against the Giants. He was hurt on the first play of overtime.
It was initially feared that the injury might be a fracture, but Parcells said an MRI exam did not reveal a broken bone.
