COL FB: Georgia 34, Vanderbilt 17

NASHVILLE, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- D.J. Shockley threw for 298 yards and three touchdowns Saturday as 4th-ranked Georgia beat Vanderbilt, 34-17.

Shockley went 15-of-30 passing with just one interception, while Thomas Brown added 91 yards rushing on 12 carries and Sean Bailey had 77 yards on two receptions. Kregg Lumpkin added a rushing touchdown for the still undefeated Bulldogs, who rose to 6-0 (4-0 SEC).

Jay Cutler was 15-of-28 passing for 174 yards, one touchdown and one interception, Steven Bright had five catches for 68 yards, Jeff Jennings added 18 carries for 84 yards, and Cassen Jackson-Garrison had 61 yards on eight carries and two receptions for 15 yards for the Commodores (4-3, 2-2), who have lost three in a row after winning their first four games of the season.
