NFL: Green Bay 52, New Orleans 3

GREEN BAY, Wis., Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Brett Favre threw for 215 yards and three touchdowns Sunday as Green Bay routed the New Orleans Saints, 52-3.

Favre was 19-of-27 passing as the Packers (1-4) picked up their first win of the season. He did not throw an interception as Green Bay avoided its first 0-5 start since 1988, and became the last team in the NFC to win a game this season.

Al Harris had two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, as Green Bay's defense forced five turnovers, which were turned into 31 points. Najeh Davenport, subbing for the injured Ahman Green, had 54 yards on the ground in 12 carries and Robert Ferguson had three receptions for 84 yards.

It was the most points Green Bay scored since Oct. 23, 1966 against Atlanta.

Aaron Brooks was only 9-of-22 for 146 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions for New Orleans (2-3).
