COL FB: Louisville 69, North Carolina 14

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Brian Brohm threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns as No. 22 Louisville buried North Carolina, 69-14.

Brohm was 17-of-22 while Michael Bush ran for two touchdowns and caught a scoring pass for the Cardinals (4-1), who scored on their first eight possessions and built a 38-7 lead by halftime. Brohm was 13-of-15 for 255 yards in the first half.

Montrell Jones had five receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown, while George Stripling rushed for 74 yards on 13 carries and one touchdown. Earl Heyman added a touchdown on a 30-yard fumble return for a score.

Matt Baker threw for 224 yards on 19-of-27 passing for the Tar Heels (2-3), who had a two-game winning streak snapped.

In his two-plus seasons as coach, the Cardinals have scored at least 60 points six times for Bobby Petrino.
