NHL: Buffalo 4, Boston 1

BUFFALO, N.Y., Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Maxim Afinogenov, J.P. Dumont, Mike Grier and Ales Kotalik all scored goals Friday night as Buffalo beat the Boston Bruins, 4-1.

Buffalo (2-0) was 2-for-7 on the power play and got 35 saves from goaltender Ryan Miller.

Glen Murray scored Boston's only goal and Andrew Raycroft stopped 37 shots for the Bruins (0-2).

The Bruins were 0-for-3 on the power play.
