Arizona DB may miss rest of season

TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 3 (UPI) -- The Arizona Cardinals said Monday rookie defensive back Antrel Rolle, the team's first-round selection, may miss the rest of the season.

Rolle, eighth overall in the 2005 NFL Draft, underwent surgery Monday in Miami to repair damage to his left knee when doctors discovered that the damage was more serious than originally thought.

Rolle was an All-American during his senior campaign at the University of Miami (Fla.). He ended the 2004 season with 58 tackles (37 solo), while recording 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery in 12 games for the Hurricanes.

In four seasons with Miami, Rolle had 183 tackles (129 solo) with five interceptions to go along with 4.5 sacks in 45 games (36 starts). He also returned 13 punts for 203 yards.
