TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Joey Galloway caught seven passes for 166 yards, including an 80-yard scoring play, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Detroit Lions, 17-13.

Brian Griese threw three interceptions and lost a fumble, but still piled up 302 yards for Tampa Bay, which improved to 4-0. Detroit slipped to 1-2.

Detroit's Joey Harrington passed for just 137 yards and had his lone apparent touchdown pass reversed by instant replay. Kevin Jones scored a TD for the Lions, but was limited to just 38 yards on 12 rushes.

Tampa Bay needed just 55 seconds of the second half to break a 10-10 tie and go up on Detroit for good. With the Bucs facing a third-and-10 from their 20, Griese connected with Galloway for an 80-yard bomb to put Tampa ahead.

The Lions cut the lead to 17-13 midway through the fourth quarter on a 23-yard field goal by Jason Hanson, and appeared to go ahead with 13 seconds remaining on a sliding touchdown catch by Marcus Pollard. The officials reviewed the play, however, and concluded that Pollard was out of bounds.
