LOS ANGELES, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Luis Gonzalez' two-run home run in the eighth inning lifted the Arizona Diamondbacks over the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-3, at Dodger Stadium.

Chad Tracy added a home run and two RBI for Arizona, which has won four straight games.

Starting pitcher Shawn Estes had to leave the game after 4 1/3 innings of work when he aggravated his left ankle injury. He allowed three runs on three hits with four strikeouts.

Brandon Medders (3-1) recorded the win in relief, while Jose Valverde notched his 13th save of the year.

Willy Aybar knocked in two runs for the Dodgers, who have lost nine of their last 12 games.

Despite the win, the Diamondbacks were eliminated from playoff contention after the San Diego Padres beat San Francisco Wednesday night to capture the NL West title.
