Paul Konerko had a two-run homer for Chicago, which had its AL Central Division lead cut to two games over idle Cleveland and its three-game winning streak snapped.

Granderson, who led off the ninth, hit the second pitch from reliever Cliff Politte over the left-center field fence. Politte (6-1) suffered the loss, while Fernando Rodney (2-3) earned the win by pitching a scoreless top half of the inning.
