MLB: Texas 8, Seattle 6

ARLINGTON, Texas, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Mark Teixeira hit two home runs, one good for three runs, Sunday as the Texas Rangers defeated the Seattle Mariners, 8-6.

Alfonso Soriano had a two-run homer and David Dellucci and Rod Barajas each added solo home runs for Texas, giving the Rangers six in the game. It was the Rangers' fifth straight win.

Jose Lopez, Miguel Ojeda and Ichiro Suzuki each drove in two runs for the Mariners, who have lost six of their last nine games.
