COL FB: Michigan St 44, Notre Dame 41 (OT)

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Jason Teague ran 19 yards to score in overtime Saturday, lifting Michigan State to 44-41 victory over 12th-ranked Notre Dame.

D.J. Fitzpatrick kicked a 44-yard field goal for Notre Dame on the first possession of the extra period, but Michigan State needed just two plays to retaliate with the winning touchdown.

Dave Stanton passed for 327 yards with three touchdowns and ran for another TD for Michigan State (3-0), which has won seven of the last nine meetings against the Fighting Irish.

Brady Quinn threw for 487 yards with a school-record five touchdowns while completing 33-of-60 passes for the Irish (2-1).
