COL FB: Florida St 28, Boston Col 17

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass., Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Drew Weatherford passed for 243 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as the No. 8 Florida State Seminoles beat No. 16 Boston College 28-17.

Greg Carr caught three passes for 34 yards and two TDs, the second late in the final quarter, for Florida State (3-0, 2-0 ACC), which has won four straight games dating back to last season.

Leon Washington added four catches for 43 yards and ran five times for another 24 yards.

Quinton Porter was 20-for-31 with 151 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions for Boston College (2-1, 0-1 ACC), which was making its Atlantic Coast Conference debut.

L.V. Whitworth added 77 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Eagles, which had a three-game win streak snapped.
