MLB: Minnesota 9, Detroit 3

DETROIT, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Luis Rivas hit a three-run homer and scored three runs Tuesday to lead the Minnesota Twins to a 9-3 victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Jason Bartlett and Matthew LeCroy also homered for the Twins and teammates Juan Castro and Mike Redmond each had two hits and an RBI.

Brad Radke (9-11) continued his career dominance against the Tigers by giving up three runs on six hits with no walks over seven innings to earn the win. The veteran righthander is 15-1 in his last 21 starts against Detroit.

Ivan Rodriguez hit a two-run homer for the Tigers, who suffered their 11th defeat in their last 13 games.

Minnesota erupted for four runs in the top of the second inning and three more in the third.
