NFL: Pittsburgh 34, Tennessee 7

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Willie Parker rushed for 161 yards Sunday while leading the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 34-7 victory over the Tennessee Titans.

Parker, rookie tight end Heath Miller and Verron Hayes all scored their first NFL touchdowns for the Steelers (1-0), who have now won their last three season openers. Parkers, who started in place of injured running backs Jerome Bettis and Duce Staley, also caught a 48-yard pass.

The Steelers amassed 424 total yards on offense and answered an early Titans touchdown by scoring on six straight possessions.

Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger passed for 218 yards and two touchdowns. Steve McNair passed for 219 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Titans (0-1).
