Kurt Busch wins at Richmond

RICHMOND, Va., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Kurt Busch won the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 at the Richmond (Va.) International Raceway.

His No.97 Roush Racing Ford crossed the finish line 0.899 seconds ahead of runner-up Matt Kenseth.

The victory was Busch's third of the season and 14th of his Nextel Cup career.

Biffle, Kyle Busch and Wallace completed the top-five.

The 10-race "Chase" begins next week at the New Hampshire International Speedway.

The final event of the Nextel Cup "regular" season determined the 10 entrants into the "Chase for the Nextel Cup" and one of them will not be Jeff Gordon, who will end the season no better than 11th place, it will be the first time since 1993, his rookie year, that the four-time Nextel Cup Series champion has finished the season outside the top-10.

Those who qualified are Tony Stewart, Greg Biffle, Jimmie Johnson, Rusty Wallace, Mark Martin, Kurt Busch, Jeremy Mayfield, Carl Edwards, Kenseth and Ryan Newman.
