Soldheim Cup all square

CARMEL, Ind., Sept. 10 (UPI) -- The United States Solheim Cup squad earned three out of four points in Saturday's foursomes matches and the competition is tied at 12-12.

In the morning, Michele Redman, a replacement for Cristie Kerr, teamed with Pat Hurst to beat Annika Sorenstam and Catriona Matthew, 2-up. Later, Sorenstam and Laura Davies beat Hurst and Christina Kim, 4 & 2, and Paula Creamer and Kerr beat Catriona Matthew and Carin Koch, 1-up.

Natalie Gulbis and Christina Kim topped Ludivine Kreutz and Gwladys Nocera, 4 & 2. Koch and Sophie Gustafson trounced Laura Diaz and Wendy Ward, 5 & 3, and Creamer and Juli Inkster beat Laura Davies and Maria Hjorth, 3 & 2.

The score is knotted after the opening two days for the first time since 1994.

The decisive singles matches will be played on Sunday.
