WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Jose Guillen got his 1,000th major league hit Friday night to help the Washington Nationals come back to beat Atlanta, 8-6.
Guillen had two hits and two RBI, Vinny Castilla homered and Brad Wilkerson added a two-run double as Washington recovered from an early four-run deficit. In relief, winner Gary Majewski improved to 3-3 and Chad Cordero earned his 44th save.
Andruw Jones hit his major league-leading 46th homer, a three-run blast, and drove in four runs for the National League East-leading Braves, who had a three-game win streak snapped.
Losing pitcher John Foster dropped to 4-2.
