TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Drew Weatherford completed 26-of-37 passes for 342 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as the 11th-ranked Florida State Seminoles beat The Citadel, 62-10.
Xavier Lee added 143 passing yards while throwing for a touchdown for the Seminoles (2-0), who appeared sluggish throughout the first half before blowing the game open over the final 30 minutes. Lee also ran for a touchdown in the win.
Chris Davis caught nine passes for 125 yards, De'Cody Fagg had seven receptions for 113 yards, and Greg Carr had 104 receiving yards and two TDs for Florida State.
Duran Lawson was 14-of-25 for just 56 yards with an interception for the Division I-AA Bulldogs (1-1), who were outscored 49-0 in the second half. Leading by just three at halftime, Florida State had 35 third-quarter points.
