COL FB: California 56, Washington 17

SEATTLE, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Joe Ayoob threw for four touchdowns in the first half, three to wideout Robert Jordan, as 17th-ranked California posted a 56-17 win Saturday over Washington.

Ayoob completed 17-of-27 passes for 271 yards for Cal.

Isaiah Stanback connected on 22-of-39 passes for 301 yards and two TDs for Washington (0-2), but was intercepted once and sacked four times. Wide receiver Sonny Shackelford caught six passes for 124 yards and a TD.

Marcus O'Keith scored a pair of second-half touchdowns for the Huskies, finishing with 103 yards on just six carries for an average of 17.2 yards per carry.

Jordan set career highs in receptions (11), yards (192) and touchdowns (3) for Cal, which racked up 557 total yards on offense.
