Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
NEW YORK, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Baltimore Ravens' defensive back Samari Rolle has been suspended one game for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
He was arrested and charged with assault in February following an altercation with his wife, who did not press charges in the incident.
"I'm thankful that I'm able to play," Rolle told The Washington Post. "The Ravens have supported me and my wife from day one, and I'm just thankful this is behind us and we can move forward."
AFC spokesman Steve Alic told the paper that Rolle, who received probation and was ordered to undergo anger management, will forfeit about $59,000.
The former Florida State product was a second-round draft pick by the Tennessee Titans in 1998. He has 23 interceptions and 8½ sacks in 101 career games, mostly with the Titans.
