MLB: San Francisco 3, Arizona 2

PHOENIX, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Randy Winn had three hits and an RBI and J.T. Snow added two hits and one RBI Sunday as San Francisco beat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 3-2.

Winn also scored two runs. With the victory, their fifth straight, the Giants completed a three-game sweep.

Winning pitcher, starter Matt Cain, rose to 1-1. He surrendered only the one run and three hits over seven innings with one walk and four strikeouts.

Armando Benitez rang up his 11th save.

Tony Clark homered off Benitez in the ninth inning and also had a triple for Arizona, which now has a five-game losing streak.

Loser Russ Ortiz, who sank to 5-9, gave up three runs and six hits in 6 2/3 innings with one walk and four strikeouts.
