MLB: Minnesota 7, Cleveland 5

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Mike Redmond hit a key three-run double Sunday afternoon as Minnesota beat Cleveland, 7-5.

Shannon Stewart added a two-run single and Lew Ford had three hits and scored three runs for Minnesota, which has won two in a row and four of six.

In relief, winner Jesse Crain improved to 10-4 and Joe Nathan earned his 35th save. Crain has allowed just one earned run in his last 13 1/3 innings.

Travis Hafner and Ben Broussard homered for Cleveland, which committed five errors for a second straight game.

Losing pitcher Jake Westbrook, the Indians' starter, fell to 13-14. He gave up four runs and 10 hits over six innings with one walk and four strikeouts.
