Olin Browne takes the lead at Boston

NORTON, Mass., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Olin Browne carded a 6-under 65 Saturday and Jeff Brehaut shot a 66 to share the lead midway through the Deutsche Bank Championship.

The pair is tied at 9-under-par 133 after 36 holes and has a one-stroke edge over Tim Petrovic (66), Billy Andrade (68) and Robert Allenby (65), who share third place at 8-under 134.

Joey Sindelar (68), Carl Pettersson (67), Briny Baird (69), Steve Lowery (69), Marco Dawson (66) and Will MacKenzie (68) all are tied for sixth at 7-under 135.

First round leader Tiger Woods, who opened with a 65 on Friday, struggled to a 2-over-par 73 and fell into a tie for 28th at 4-under 138.

The 36-hole cut fell at 1-under 141. Among the notable former major winners who missed the mark were: Davis Love III (145), Shaun Micheel (145), David Duval (146) and Mark O'Meara (147).
