Hurst leads the State Farm Classic

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Pat Hurst shot 7-seven-under 65 Saturday and moved into the lead after three rounds of the State Farm Golf Classic.

After 54 holes, Hurst is 15-under-par 201.

Kim Williams is second after carding a 6-under 66, to close at 12-under 204. Defending champion Cristie Kerr and Catriona Matthew each had 5-under 67 and are tied for third at 11-under-par 205.

Hee-Won Han (70), Natalie Gulbis (70), Maria Hjorth (71) and first-round leader Heather Bowie (71) are tied for fifth at 9-under 207. Aree Song (66), Diana D'Alessio (66) and Heather Daly-Donofrio (70) share ninth at 8-under 208.

Both second-round co-leaders Tina Barrett and Sherri Turner struggled Saturday. Barrett shot 2-over 74 and is part of a group tied for 12th at 7-under 209. Turner managed only a 4-over 76 and is tied for 31st at 5-under-par 211.
