PROVO, Utah, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Quinton Porter passed for 232 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as the 22nd-ranked Boston College Eagles posted a 20-3 victory over Brigham Young.

Porter was 27-of-35 passing in his first game action since 2003. He started 10 games and threw for 1,764 yards in 2003 but was redshirted last season after being beaten out by Paul Peterson.

Chris Miller caught both of Porter's touchdown throws, and Will Blackmon had eight receptions for 100 yards for the Eagles in their first game as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

BYU's John Beck threw for 330 yards on 41-of-60 passing, but the Cougars were held to just eight rushing yards in Bronco Mendenhall's head coaching debut.
