SEATTLE, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Sheryl Swoopes scored a team-high 20 points Thursday night as Houston overcame Seattle, 67-64, to even their Western Conference playoff series at a game each.

Tina Thompson (13) and Janeth Arcain (12) combined to add 25 points for the Comets, who went 25-of-28 at the free throw line.

For Seattle, Betty Lennox had 16 points and Lauren Jackson, who is playing with a back ailment, added 14. In the disappointing setback, the defending WNBA champion Storm blew a 10-point second-half lead.

Seattle will get a chance at revenge when it hosts the clinching Game 3 on Saturday.
