HOUSTON, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Lance Berkman hit a solo home run Thursday night to help Houston beat the Cincinnati Reds, 3-1.
Winner Roy Oswalt improved to 16-11. He allowed only one run and five hits in 5 2/3 innings, with one walk and 11 strikeouts. Brad Lidge rang up his 32nd save.

Sean Casey had two hits and knocked in the Reds' lone run. Casey extended his hitting streak to 12 games.
Loser Aaron Harang, who gave up only five hits and three runs in seven innings, fell to 9-12.
Houston is only 5-8 in its last 13 games. The Reds have won five of nine.
