NFL: Dallas 18, Seattle 10

SEATTLE, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Drew Bledsoe threw a TD pass to Lousaka Polite in the second quarter and Jose Cortez kicked three field goals Tuesday as Dallas beat Seattle 18-10.

Bledsoe completed 7-of-11 passes for 56 yards, including an 11-yard strike to Polite with 5:45 left in the first half, which gave the Cowboys a 10-7 lead.

Cortez hit field goals from 37 and 46 yards out in the third quarter to extend Dallas' advantage to 16-7. Eric Ogbogu sealed the win when he sacked David Greene in the end zone with under six minutes to play.

Julius Jones ran 12 times for 58 yards, while rookie Marion Barber had 62 yards rushing on 18 carries for the Cowboys.

Seattle's Matt Hasselbeck had 135 yards on 12-of-15 passing and threw a seven-yard touchdown strike to D.J. Hackett in the first quarter.
