MLB: Anaheim 7, Baltimore 6

BALTIMORE, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Jarrod Washburn picked up his first win since July 14 Tuesday as the L.A. Angels of Anaheim defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 7-6.

The Angels have won three of their last five games, while the Orioles have lost four straight.

With the win, the Angels stretched their lead in the American League West Division to 3 1/2 games over Oakland, which lost Tuesday.

After going 0-3 with a no-decision in his last four starts, Washburn (7-7) allowed one run on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings.
