WNBA: Sacramento 75, Seattle 65

SACRAMENTO, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Yolanda Griffith poured in 26 points to lead Sacramento to a 75-65 win over Seattle.

Kara Lawson added 18 points for the Monarchs, who have won 10 of their last 11 games. Sacramento is now 1 1/2 games behind the Sun for the best record in the WNBA.

Lauren Jackson had 16 points and 15 rebounds and Janell Burse had 13 points for the Storm, who fell into a tie with Houston for second place in the Western Conference. Seattle is 17-14 and is 6-4 in its last 10 games.
