MLB: LA Angels of Anaheim 4, Boston 2

ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Francisco Rodriguez notched his 28th save to cap a 4-2 victory for the LA Angels of Anaheim over the Boston Red Sox Saturday night at Angel Stadium.

Ervin Santana (7-5) gave up five hits and two runs without walking a batter while striking out five in the 7 2/3 innings he pitched for the Angels.

Vladamir Guerrero had two hits and Adam Kennedy had two RBI to help the Angels win its sixth of its past nine games.

Boston lost three of its past four games but still has a three game lead over the New York Yankees in the AL East.
