AKRON, Ohio, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Tiger Woods and Kenny Perry are tied for the lead at the rain-delayed World Golf Championships-NEC Invitational after three rounds.

In Saturday's third round, the weather was the story.

Because of expected severe weather, tournament officials Friday pushed up scheduled tee times five hours, but there was a three-hour delay Saturday anyway. Players returned briefly to the course, but play was suspended after just 15 minutes.

The 20 golfers who need to finish their third round will return early Sunday morning and the final round is slated to begin at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time.

Woods and Perry are tied at 7-under par. Woods is 3-under for the round.

Paul McGinley is 3-under through 15 holes and alone in third place at 6-under.

Woods held at least a share of the lead after the first two rounds.
