MLB: Los Angeles 7, Atlanta 4

ATLANTA, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Milton Bradley homered and had three RBI Thursday night as Los Angeles beat the Atlanta Braves, 7-4.

Jeff Kent added three hits and Jose Cruz and Dioner Navarro each had two for Los Angeles, which has won thre of five and five of seven overall.

Winning pitcher Jeff Weaver improved to 11-8. Duaner Sanchez recorded his 2nd save.

Andruw Jones and Adam LaRoche homered for Atlanta, which is still 4 1/2 games in front of Philadelphia for the lead in the National League East.

Loser John Thomson dropped to 3-3.

Jones now has 39 homers for the season, a major league high.
