"Charlie is an explosive scorer who can play both the point and two-guard positions," said General Manager Larry Harris on the Bucks' Web site. "He's been the leading scorer in Italy and in Spain the last two seasons, respectively, and he played well during our free agent camp this spring. We like the versatility and depth Charlie adds to our backcourt."

Bell, 26, undrafted out of Michigan State, began his professional career in the NBA with Phoenix and Dallas in 2001-02. The 6-foot-3 inch guard spent three seasons in Italy, where he was the leading scorer in the country in the 2003-04 season, scoring 25.5 points per game for Livorno.

Last season, he led all of Spain with a 27 points per contest in 28 games for Breogan.
