Tigers' Guillen back on disabled list

DETROIT, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Detroit Tigers shortstop Carlos Guillen his back on the disabled list Wednesday with a sore right knee, The Sports Network reports.

His 15-day stint on the DL is retroactive to Aug. 11.

Guillen has a .318 batting average for the season with five home runs and 23 RBI.

Carlos Pena was recalled from Triple-A Toledo to take Guillen's spot on the Tigers' roster.

A pulled hamstring sent Guillen to the disabled list in June.
