MLB: Atlanta 9, Arizona 5

ATLANTA, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Chipper Jones hit a two-run double in the seventh inning Saturday to help Atlanta beat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 9-5.

Julio Franco added a three-run homer and four RBI as the National League East-leading Braves ended their two-game slide. They have won 13 of 20 overall.

In relief, winner John Foster improved to 3-1.

Shawn Green (18) hit a two-run homer for Arizona, which has lost three of five.

Royce Clayton and Craig Counsell added two hits each for the Diamondbacks. Counsell had one RBI.

Loser Lance Cormier dropped to 7-3.
